Besides bosses and Monstrous Masks, these are probably the most hazardous enemies in the game. They have the highest hitpoints of any normal monster by far and deal a very high amount of damage. Combine that with the fact that they spawn more frequently and in greater numbers than monstrous masks, this makes them incredibly dangerous.

  • Even with a very high amount of damage, it still takes 3 or 4 hits to kill one of these and they deal a very large amount of damage to boot. If you have high block, dodge, and counter they can be very easy to kill, but when you have lots of armor they still take a chunk out of you.
  • This is an enemy that you need to kite and line up to deal with effectively. That or be a ranged character. If there is more than one, try to lure them into a one-square-wide hallway so they don't tear you up. If you can get a far darrig or fell carrot to block them up in a hallway, you can damage them all before they even get to you.
  • It is helpfull to use the Phys shove ability if they get close to you if you are using magic, Crossbows, Or throwing weapons against them. You can also shove parts of the terrain (Like unbreakable statues) at them for extra damage.
